DGP sanctions Special Reward for 89 meritorious police wards | KNO

Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid today sanctioned special reward of Rs. 4,58000 in favour of 89 wards of serving police personnel, who have secured above eighty per cent marks in the annual examination of class 12th during the academic session 2016-17.

The reward has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund (CPWF). The contributory Fund has been created to encourage and boost the talented school going children of police personnel. Those who have been awarded include 43 girl students.
Thirteen wards, securing above ninety percent marks have been provided with Rs.6000 per student, while the remaining with eighty and below percentage have been given Rs.5000 each. (KNS)
